Phillip Lonergan specialises in commercial litigation, insolvency and building and construction disputes.
Before joining the Bar, Mr Lonergan worked in New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo in the financial markets for 2 of the world’s largest banks. He graduated as a merit scholar in economics majoring in econometrics and statistics and later undertook post-graduate studies in Quantitative Finance at the University of Technology Sydney where he studied under some of the world’s leading professors in this area.
Mr Lonergan was awarded the degree Juris Doctor at the University of New South Wales- where he graduated with distinction. He then went on to read for his Masters of Law (LLM) at the University of Sydney.
Having been a Managing Director in financial markets specializing in derivatives trading and later in senior management roles, Mr Lonergan brings unique commercial expertise and acumen to the table when acting for his clients.
