Andrew Berriman
Admitted to practice as a solicitor in 2014, Andrew has eight years’ experience as a commercial litigator. Andrew practised as a Senior Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright in its Sydney and London offices, and at Jones Day.
As a solicitor, Andrew acted for insolvency practitioners, banks, property developers, trustees, construction contractors, litigation funders and solicitors. His experience includes contractual disputes, Corporations Act matters, applications for judicial advice, professional negligence and discipline, insolvency and equity. Andrew has acted in arbitrations and in proceedings to recognise arbitral awards.
Andrew has received professional recognition for his work as a commercial litigator. In 2022 and 2023 he was ranked as ‘One to Watch’ for commercial litigation and international arbitration in the Australian Financial Review’s Best Lawyers list.
Andrew holds a Master of Laws with first class honours from the University of Cambridge. He received prizes for his performance in his final examinations and for his dissertation. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours from the University of Technology, Sydney. Prior to practising as a solicitor, Andrew was tipstaff to the Honourable Justice Christine Adamson SC of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
